What’s New at Rice Race Prep?
It has been a while since we provided an update. We have not had any "headline" announcements. All efforts have been to refining every element of our preparation, application, and execution.
It has been a busy winter as all the race cars were in need of attention after a hard season. All primary cars will start the season with fresh engines. Greg and Alec have been working on several projects which should improve the competitiveness of the effort when fully implemented.
Various discussions continue about adding drivers to cars for the Canadian Super Series events. This is an exciting time for Canadian F1600 racing. Unfortunately, as the schedule works out, while we will not be able to fully support all the races, we would like to have some presence, and are working towards that goal. We wish Jason and Marcel the best.
Our primary race series, operated by Formula Race Promotions, continues to grow and looks great for 2014. Not sure of all the details, but they are expanding and restructuring staff. We welcome all the new people, including new race director, Chip Robinson. Yes, that is the former professional "shoe" who drove Group 44 Jaguars , after starting in Northeastern SCCA FF racing. Welcome Chip!
Thanks to our hardworking 2013 crew, with photos from the great team at Formula Race Promotions!
