RiceRace Looking for Strong Start at CMP

The RiceRace F1600 team heads to Carolina Motorsport Park on the April 1st weekend for rounds 1-3 of the F1600 Championship. Will Holtz and Thomas Schrage lead the team, both having raced with the team in 2021, Will for the full season, and Thomas for a partial season. Will won at Road America and also finished third at the SCCA Runoffs. Thomas won three F1600 races in 2021, also finishing 2nd three times. The third member of the team will be Gordon Scully, who while new to formula cars, has showed well in previous 2022 events, scoring a 2nd and 3rd in the recent Hoosier Super Tour event at Road Atlanta.

"We are really looking forward to a fine F1600 season" reports team owner Greg Rice. "We have assembled a really good group of drivers and crew, which should provide a strong presence on the track, and be a lot of fun. Finding that balance is tough, but I am confident we have found it." The team will compete at rounds 4-6 at Mid-Ohio on the May 1st weekend, and at Barber Motorsport Park for rounds 7-9 on May 20-22. Two events at PIRC, and one each at Summit Point and Autobahn will complete the F1600 season.
