RiceRace Ready for FRP CMP

Final preparations are underway for the first FRP F1600 event in Kershaw South Carolina on Easter weekend. The team will be running 3 cars at the first of 8 FRP Series events, with 3 races at each of those events. Kyle August will return for his third season, driving the Monro Mygale #13. Joining Kyle, will be Will Holtz, driving the #43 Mygale. Both drivers will run the full season and compete for F1600 championship points.

Will has been getting mileage in the #13 car, but will shift over to the #43 for the FRP events. "Will went very well at Sebring and last weekend at Summit Point, where he picked up a pair of Club racing wins and the Club racing track record" reports team owner Greg Rice. "We will also be running a guest driver in our 3rd car at most events. Sometimes past drivers, potential drivers, or friends of the team. At CMP, we have Bob Perona running the #52 Mygale, competing in the Masters category, but expecting to give the young guns a tough time. We have most of the crew back, some fine drivers, and hoping to win some races in 2021,"

Stay tuned for announcements on future guest drivers. Not all events are spoken for, so potential drivers can reach out to Greg Rice at RiceRacePrep@gmail.com. The team also has open seats for the SCCA June Sprints and Runoffs. RiceRace swag will soon be available. The team is also seeking sponsors and benefactors for its SCCA FC program which will see Simon Sikes in the Citation for the 35th Anniversary race at the SCCA Runoffs.
