Sikes and Lee to TeamUSA

RiceRace team drivers Simon Sikes and Jackson Lee have been chosen as winners in the Team USA Scholarship program for 2020. Simon has other racing commitments in October and November which will keep him from going to England to represent Team USA at the fall festivals. Jackson will go to England and race Formula Ford with the 3rd team member Bryce Aron, another FRP F1600 alumni. Simon and Jackson are one-two in the FRP Championship with 8 wins between them in 12 races.

Jackson Lee, 18, from Avon, IN, brings major associate partnership from Indiana Coating Specialists, representing Tnemec Company, Inc.

RiceRace team owner comments "This is an endorsement of our team but also the FRP F1600 Series. Braden Eves and Colin Mullan previously used our program and series to showcase their skills for Team USA, but our team this year is having an incredible season, and have earned this special attention. Simon started strong, but Jackson has improved dramatically, certainly helped by the standard that Simon was setting. They have both figured out how to be successful in this class and we will be watching closely as they move up the racing ladder. Not coincidentally they are really fine young men from good families. We did not think the Team USA program would happen in 2020, so we put some extra stuff together. Simon had commitments with our team for the SCCA Runoffs and Marotti Autosport in USF2000 by the time the Team USA program came together."

With Jackson Lee racing for Team USA in England, there is now an opening at RiceRace for the last 2 FRP events at Pittsburgh on October 16-18 and Road Atlanta on October 30-31. It is an excellent opportunity for aspiring race drivers to experience FRP F1600 action with a race-winning team. the team would like to run drivers interested in racing a full season of F1600 in 2021.
