RiceRace announced today, that 17 year old Will Holtz, from Deerfield, Illinois will return for the full season of F1600 competition. Will finished 4th in the 2021 F1600 Championship driving the #43 RiceRace Mygale supported by LinearEdge and LevelUp Racing School. Will won one race at the Road America event and also finished a fine 3rd at the SCCA Runoffs National Championship. “I’m super excited to be back with Rice Race Prep for a second season in F1600" reports Will. "I will build off a strong performance last year and push for bigger and better this year!“
Team owner Greg Rice comments, "We are thrilled that Will will be back to build on his very strong first season in the class. Continuity is important, and we believe that Will and Thomas will be a very formidable pair to lead our team. Will will be back in the #43, and we should have an announcement on the #13 driver soon. This season should be a lot of fun!"
RiceRace is a successful small race team based in Ransomville, New York. The team runs three Mygale F1600 cars and one Citation FC car in Pro and SCCA race events. The team won the 2020 F1600 Championship and 2020 SCCA Runoffs in FF. The team also won the 2016 F2000 Championship and the 2021 SCCA Runoffs in FC. The championship team is seeking drivers to join the team for the 2023 season. The team also seeks another formula car mechanic to join the team for the upcoming season.
