Anthony Cerciello, 3rd Generation Formula Ford Racer, Joins RiceRace for Summit Point

RiceRace continues to introduce new drivers to the F1600 Series with the announcement that Anthony Cerciello will make his F1600 debut at Summit Point Raceway on August 19-21. The 30 year old oral and maxillofacial surgeon was an accomplished kart racer as a child before taking a break to complete his education. After running the family-run FF in FRCCA, Anthony now wants to try F1600 racing at an elite level. Anthony's father and grandfather, based on Staten Island, NY both raced Formula Ford and other Formula classes on the East coast.

Anthony will run the 18 Mygale as recently raced by Elliott Budzinski at the June Sprints and Autobahn F1600 events. He will join F1600 championship leader Thomas Schrage and Gordon Scully in the 01 and 13 Mygales. There is only a single F1600 race on Saturday as FV and VS2000 dominate the schedule, but F1600 returns on Sunday with their final 2 races.

As announced previously, Greg Rice will be retiring from racehire management on November 1st and his two cars and equipment are for sale. "I would prefer to sell all or most of the equipment to someone who will continue to support Formula F in SCCA and F1600 with FRP. At some point we will have to sell off equipment on an individual basis, but I will give some time for a new team operator to emerge. I have cars, parts, spare engines, tools, and a shock dyno, all of which can be included. It is an opportunity for someone to step in at the front of the field and not spend two or three years developing their own program." Please contact Greg Rice at RiceRacePrep@gmail.com "Greg reports that discussions are underway that may keep the team together with new ownership, but with Greg involved with engineering and race event management. Interested 2023 drivers should keep in touch with Greg."

F1600 racehire is in demand right now with strong FRP F1600 fields. The RiceRace cars are two of the fastest F1600 cars in North America winning the 2020 F1600 championship and the 2020 National Formula F championship. The two cars have many wins over the past 3 years including 8 this year. The #01 car currently leads the FRP F1600 championship with 6 wins and 6 2nds in 15 races. Team USA Scholarship winners Simon Sikes, Braden Eves, Colin Mullan, Jackson Lee, and Andre Castro have all driven the cars. RiceRace is hopeful that the 2022 Team USA will have some RiceRace flavor as an announcement is around the corner.
