The RiceRace F1600 team as been for sale for the past few monthes. While the team is still for sale, the
timeline for new ownership to recruit drivers for 2023 is now a factor in the team transition, and Greg
Rice has announced a revised plan to move the team into a new phase.
RiceRace will continue to operate in 2023 as a smaller operation. The two winning cars will be removed
from team use and will be sold individually, or as a pair, to racers looking to compete seriously in 2023.
The cars will be available with a full technical support program at F1600 events and select SCCA events.
RiceRace will keep their third Mygale F1600 in house, and bring a new Mygale into operation. “It is my
hope that this revised plan will see 4 F1600 Mygales on track in 2023, while down-sizing the RiceRace
operational program” reports Greg Rice. “Similar to Indycar where Meyer Shank Racing receive
engineering support from Andretti , we can help new ownership build their operation, and become
independent going forward. At the same time, it allows me to reduce our presence, and move toward
retirement. Best of all, it can increase the F1600 car count on the East coast, rather than depleting it.”

2 nd . Trevor Russell will drive the former #01 Mygale, now numbered with #32. Simon Sikes will be
driving the RiceRace #13 Citation FC car as they attempt to defend their National Championship. The
RiceRace team will also have the Citation FC car available for use in 2023, starting with Florida SCCA
events in January.
The first car sold will be the car that is currently leading the F1600 championship driven my Thomas Schrage. Now numbered #32, the #01 was previously campaigned as the #6 driven by Simon Sikes. The car won the 50th FF birthday party at Road Atlanta, the 2020 SCCA Runoffs, and the 2020 F1600 championship. Twenty plus wins in the past 3 years. It is Quicksilver powered and has a transmission by Lee Williams. It has some custom mods including Alec Purdy revised front suspension geometry, driver-adjustable ARBs, and Rice piston valving within Penske shock hardware. It also has custom single-pass radiators and an Aim MXL dash with GPS. It is available with 3 sets of wheels, including mounted rains on one set, and 12 gearsets.
The second car is virtually identical but with the capability for larger drivers (6-3+). Previously #06 and #52, it now races with #18, and has won races with Braden Eves, Elliott Budzinski, Colin Mullan, Jackson Lee, Misha Goikhberg, Trey Burke, Alex Scaler, and Simon Sikes. It is Quicksilver powered and has a transmission by Lee Williams. It has some custom mods including Alec Purdy revised front suspension geometry, driver-adjustable ARBs, and Rice piston valving within Penske shock hardware. It also has custom single-pass radiators and an Aim MXL dash with GPS. It is available with 3 sets of wheels, including mounted rains on one set, and 12 gearsets.
