July Updates: More Podiums and Guest Drivers

Joel Haas just keeps racking up podium visits in the FRP F1600 Series as he establishes his status as a contender for the Masters Championship. Cliff Johnson teamed with Rice Race Prep for his yearly appearance at Mid-Ohio in July. Cliff was in fine form as he finished 3rd overall in one race while sweeping the Masters class wins. We're trying to get Cliff back for more FRP events. Jonathan Kotyk needed a start for SCCA Runoff qualification, so we put him in the Reynard for a Majors race at Thompson Speedway. Not only did he get his start, he finished 2nd overall in a race car 11 years older than him. RRP wishes Jonathon luck as he challenges for success in the FRP F1600 Championship and SCCA Runoffs. Stay tuned for more news about more guest drivers in our Reynard Honda. It is available for FRP events, the Runoffs, and the ARRC. Rice Race Prep is open for new business in 2018. 2017 was a transitional year as we diversified and worked with new teams and drivers, but we would really like to get back to our specialty. We would like to add another single car program for SCCA racing in the winter season, and add another full-time FRP customer in F1600 or F2000. We have a legacy of data, video, and expertise, so that we can provide a complete and serious race effort to racers that want to go racing seriously. We are always open to interesting consulting or off-season rebuild projects.
