Lee and Burke Win in the RiceRace #52

Simon and Jackson started their seasons at the June Sprints.

While Simon Sikes was catching most of the attention with the quick start to the RiceRace 2020 racing campaign, the other team car had a strong season scoring the most points next to Simon's Group 6 machine. The driving was split between 17 year old Jackson Lee and 15 year old Trey Burke. Jackson did the June Sprints and five FRP F1600 events, before winning the Team USA Scholarship and travelling to the UK for some Formula Ford events representing Team USA. Jackson, from Avon, IN, has a major associate partnership with Indiana Coating Specialists, representing Tnemec Company, Inc. In his 6 events, Jackson scored two wins, four 2nds, and three 3rds, and was solidly 2nd in FRP points when he stopped. Still 3rd entering the last event, he was relegated to 4th when another driver scored more points, although not in attendance either. Trey Burke, from Alvin, TX, with support from Joe Dooling Autosports, had a pair of podiums in his 2 events, winning the final race of the season.

As all three drivers plan to move up the racing ladder in 2021, the RiceRace team is looking for drivers for both cars. Greg Rice reports, "We have two of the fastest cars in the country, and the expertise to win races and championships in FRP and SCCA. We are ready to start in January with the SCCA events in Florida, and finish at the SCCA Runoffs in Indy. We can hit every FRP event and quality SCCA event in between. We will also have a FC car available for SCCA and the Runoffs. We can tailor our programs to best develop the driver to meet his goals, as we did for Simon, Jackson, and Trey."
