RiceRace wins June Sprints, FRP PIRC Next

RiceRace had a successful return from their 7 month break with an impressive outing at the June Sprints at Road America. Simon Sikes won the Sunday feature with Jackson Lee close behind in 2nd. The duo finished 2nd and 3rd in Saturdays race, only .013 seconds behind the winner. Teammate Kyle August finished 6th both days in the tough 22 car field. All three drivers are now qualified to compete in the National Championship Runoffs event at Road America in October.

The team travels to Pittsburgh International Race Complex this weekend for the first 3 races in the FRP F1600 Championship. Sikes and Lee will race against more than 20 other of the best drivers in the country.

Jackson Lee, 17, from Avon, IN, will drive the #52 Mygale with a major associate partnership with Indiana Coating Specialists, representing Tnemec Company, Inc. Other associate partners include Rising Star Racing, Subway of Hobart/Valparaiso, IN, Caldwell Realty, Jackson Hewitt of Hobart, IN, Bell Racing Helmets, Hinchman Racewear, Lake Cable Consulting of Canton, OH, BSA Life Structures, Performance Tire Service Company, Cabin Coffee Company of Avon, IN and Moeller Printing in Indianapolis. Simon Sikes will drive the #6 Mygale, bringing support from Group 6 Apparel which provides apparel for karting using custom molded SFI compliant protective padding. All three RiceRace Mygales will have support from team sponsors Susi Uhl Art, Fox40, and Ruthie’s Rental Cottage. Susi Uhl Art produces unique abstract pebble art that makes for a very personal gift. Fox40 USA sells sporting goods, featuring the Fox40 whistle, the world's best whistle. Ruthie's Rental Cottage is a luxury rental property on Lake Seneca near Watkins Glen, NY. RiceRace uses Hoosier racing tires and Quicksilver race engines.
